A few months ago, I decided I was officially done with feeling emotionally drained every single day. I did hours of research and found that I needed to tap into more positive emotions if I was going to get out of my funk. Therefore, I made a daily commitment to read (or listen to) a self help book.
No, this wasn’t the cure to my mental illnesses. However, each day I learn something new. Each day I feel inspired, even if just for a moment. Each day I soak up the wisdom of great teachers. And honestly, I can feel the change, the healing, the hope. This is my new badass habit.
In my gracious opinion, I believe in the power of good habits. Or, as one of my favorite authors would say, badass habits.
Habits can typically form between 21-30 days. Good habits can be learned and bad habits can be unlearned, and completely forgotten. So, whether you are starting something new, or breaking one of those life sucking habits, this is a great place to start.
“Our thoughts become our words, our words become our beliefs, our beliefs become our habits, and our habits become our realities.”
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
